Ironic but expected answer here. I do hope that people think comments are more important but in fact I know that's not the case. People have always been favwhores and will always be favwhores haha.
You can't ahve one without the other. It really depend son what you want, words are more valuable than clicks, those who are here for critiques or just want a pat on the back will favour comments, those who are looking to become well known in hope of going somewhere with their art will rathe rfavourites, some of these people I see even disable comments...they don't care if people like it or not, they just want a smany to fave it as possible
I think I'd have to say favourites matter more, favourites yeild comments and other favourites because more will see a deviation that has a thousand faves than one that has none. Comments are way more exciting to check for me, but favourites are what gets you seen
And people are more prone to faving good artwork . I've seen some fantastic deviants suffer from neglect due to lack of favage on their otherwise brilliant work (I have sympathy for few of them though since they aren't very active around here anyway, people have to earn attention and recognition through community interaction as well as good art I reckon )
