I've been ripped a few times and resolved them. To me, it serves as a reminder of how far I have progressed... from creating basic things that nobody could care less about to having people who want to rip and steal my images WISHING that they were the creator. Being ripped is painful, but it only makes me work harder.
While not art, dAmn.extend has been copied various times, sometimes just people adding "features" like mass-messaging, others even re-releasing it under a new name...
Yus, but it was little and kinda funny. I dropped a picture in the hallway at school and someone showed me and said "Hey, look what I drew!" and I told them it was mine and they were like "Oh." then gave it back and switched seats. x3
I've been ripped, but resolved the issue. It was a Russian company, and I think I scared them with my cease-and-desist letter. In any case, I sent the cease-and-desist and they just rolled over and did what I asked for.
More frequently these days and not all of the matters have even been resolved. Some stupid gaming company just changed the appearance a bit after I notified them and others dont care at all. Copyrights seem to matter even less and less these days and the trend seems to be more towards freelancer artists rather than companies that can actually defend themselves..
