I still dont care what people say, intels maybe ahead of AMD in production, but they will never ever surpass the level of quality AMD has to offer. AMD chips run so much smoother especially for the gamers. The new AMD 64's act like 3+ghz chips regardless of only being 2ghz or 2.4ghz

Mines home made just like all 9 other computers in this house.
This computer is:

1.7ghz AMD Athlon XP
40gb 7,500 rpm HD
512mb DDR 400 Ram
Geforce 2 mx 440 64mb
SB Audigy sound card.

Upcoming computer when i get the money:

Case : ( rig )
P Supply : ( 500W )
cd-rw
dvd
HD : ( 80GB )
RAM : ( 2 x 512 )
MOBO :( 533fsb / 8x / 3gb memory space / fan etc )
CPU : ( AMD 64 2.2ghz, best made cpu known so far!! :D )
CPU FAN :( top of the line copper based fan )
case fans : ( 3 Neons / 2 reg, 1 ultra )
Vid : ( Geforce 5 256 mb, or Radeon 9600 128mb )
Sound : ( SB Audigy2 )
Speakers : ( 5 set with sub )
Monitor : ( 19" Black )
Optical Mouse
Neon Lit Keyboard

Around $1000

Should be a pretty nice setup.

Word to the n00bs! BUILD YOUR OWN COMPUTER!
Save yourself 500-1000 bucks. The companies just wanna get their names on everything. Dont fall for it.

Pentium IV 2.2Ghz
1Gb RAMbus
2 IDE HDDs (40+120Gb)
nVIDIA Gforce 4 4600 (128Mb)

I constructed it myself =D when mounting the motherboard I cutted my finger (not purposely) in a metalic part of the box and made a blood pact with my computer, so as long as I live, this computer will work :devilish:
