It provides a good study fro those who have learned to appreciate it, and I understand where a lot of it comes from, but I personally find most of it ridiculous,

I love it, I goto the Tate Modern whenever I'm in the vicnity and really like it.

after visiting the MoMA in berlin - i had modern art overkill. unfortunately most of it is simply out of my way to see things. there's pretty neat stuff but 70% of all is... nothing for me.

Modern art should make you chuckle at how clever it is, or make you marvel at who something so simple has changed so much in a new perspective. Things like the urinal on its side and the tar room are a marvel to see and really are clever pieces of work.

Making a light turn on and off is a load of bullcrap. There are very few modern artists who are actually decent.
