This is so cool. I always loved the planet Neptune. Possibly because it reminded me of the sea. Also, Neptune is the planet I'm most connected to because I am a Pisces. :)

I didn't know that. Well I suppose it applies too well, since I probably suffer delusions of grandeur lol

OOh you're a Pisces? Awesome! I have my Neptune in Capricorn which means imaginations(Neptune) come to work(Capricorn)...

Out my way fictional Sailor Scouts.NOVA had a special on Neptune when I was a kid.Triton's mysterious atmosphere and nitrogen geysers awed me.It was that NOVA episode that kickstarted my love for astronomy. Now this the Neptune that science taught me not a whiny bitchie teen from a low quality TV show.I await the day we send a probe back to the system. A testament to the folks at NASA and the Voyager team.

Love this observation, Neptune is my birth planet and I've always been oddly attracted to it...beautiful rendition :D

This has to be the most breathtaking deviation I've ever seen! The planet Neptune has been an inspiration to me since I was a child. I used to dream of Neptune. Then I discovered from one of the best psychics in the world that my soul originated from this blue world now made of frozen gasses.

In love with this.

Well i can say it most definitely looks cool. Incredibly big though, especially for my 56k.

But hey, forget about whether people can actually see it. Let's make it as big as humanly possible.

Still, even with the delay, it was pretty much worth the wait, i enjoy the rings, and the facts. The planet is decent looking too.

I do not, however, enjoy random graphs that serve no purpose. But i will admit, they do make it look cooler, and perhaps they do serve a purpose. If so, inform me.

Superb, I love the little touches added to this image. Triton looks great and Neptune’s "rings" look very nice indeed.

I have observed each Solar System deviation you have submitted, but I felt I needed to comment on Neptune's since it is my favorite planet (mainly because it's the cerulean representation of Poseidon, my fav Greek god). But anyway, this series of planets you've done is remarkable. Excellent clarity and perspectives give an almost realistic rendition of the actual thing. I love how you've incorporated a mini astronomy lesson within each deviation, as well. The nidbits are concise and fun at the same time. Anything and everything on the other side of Earth's outer realm has always facinated me, planets epecially.
I believe you've helped me develop a new appreciation for our solar system's majestic marbles. Great work indeed. Thumbs Up

And I hear you're coming up with twenty more deviations for this series? I can't wait. =D (Big Grin)

Oh, and a little suggestion: It would fantastic if you could do this with the other marvels of the galaxy (i.e. comets, asteroids, black holes, etc.). ;) (Wink)

Keep it up.

P.S. What's with the integrations, derivitives, and other mathematical equations and graphing within each image? Are they really graphs and formulas that pertain to each planet, or just background effects? Either way, it's interesting. =D (Big Grin)

yes, this is wonderful. it looks like something out of a really fucking cool textbook. however, you might want to run a spell & grammar check on that blizzy. there's a few typos. otherwise, keep up the excellent work!

i'd have like to have seen more planet, also neptune seems a bit 2-dimensional there for some reason... i dunno maybe its my eyes, but other than that, i love it :) (Smile)

im definetely feeling this one. excellent job. however i think that more of the planet should be showing, like at least half. but its looking great this way anyways. great layout and information, this series is great!

WAT THE HECK it has like letters and numbers in the stars?
rougeux Featured By Owner Jan 25, 2003  Hobbyist Digital Artist
The rings are very wel-done and it's cool to see the huge storm visible on the planet. A hair blurry but hardly anything to complain about. Great job on this one too.
wenstrom Featured By Owner Jan 25, 2003   Digital Artist
Amazing design. Heh, it looked strange with those calculations at the side, but it has been pretty informative. The outer planets are quite mysterious, so every bit of data we receive from them is highly valued.

Excellent job!

nice details, I hadn't heard that thing about the diamonds. You have integration calculations in this one, are you doing your calculus homework at the same time or something ;) (Wink)

Good series so far.
