The resolutions you need are 1680x1050, 1900x1200. It appears that you tried to guess the correct ones, and got them wrong.

Excellent concept! One step to perfection would be less angularity in the tree - more natural bends would make this excellent overall.

This is QUITE lovely. I wish the moon was so close in reality.
None of the stuff people have critiqued bothers me at all—you said it wasn't serious, I believe you, and it doesn't have to look "realistic" to be pretty. :) Good work.
