I'd really like to use it in this game ([link]) and give you credit for it. Do you have other pics showing all Sol planets? It'd be fantastic to use them!

I learned more in 3 minuets than half hour of class with your plants.
I finally understand Retrograde concept

Wow! This is my absolute favorite of your works. This is one of my favorite planets too. ;) I really love the Science Ed concept. Very clever. :)

I've been writing a series (crappy but still) based on Mars colonization and since then I've been turned on to all things Martian, so to me this is quite a bad-ass peice of art!!
random-drawa Featured By Owner Apr 1, 2006
Is there anyway we could get that picture mars on it owns, because it looks beautiful without the writing (but the writing is great too)
Kirue Featured By Owner Feb 6, 2006
Great artwork combined with technical facts. It is just awesome. I really enjoy to check your gallery.

It's spectacular! I was wondering, have you read the "Mars trilogy" written by Kim Stanley Robinson?
CelsiusVaughn Featured By Owner Nov 7, 2005
This is just great.

You did a great job. Very impressive.

This serie is one of the best in Deviant!!!!!!

Hmm i'm not sure if i've said this already or not, but i think Phobos isn't round. Its void of atmosphere and gravity and thus has a very asteroid look. I'm not quite sure if its Phobos, but i know its one of the moons.
brianf Featured By Owner Apr 23, 2003
hehe, why did you put that substitution algebra in there for? it looks good anyhow.

i would seriously like this as a wallpaper if some of the white wasn't so bright and distracting from the icons.

i think this doesnt really follow the wallpaper guidelines, but i do think it follows the print guidelines. considering it looks like a poster and the fact that the negative space isnt where icons would usually be, but in the center in small areas.

im not giving this a bad critique, just my thoughts. i really do think this looks cool. its neat how you scanned your math book for the graphs.. :) (Smile)

WoW!!! Nice work! Looks like you put alot of time and effort into this. I love it! What programs did you use to make it? i make my planets on cinema 4d and they come out pretty good. Your stars looks so realistic, thats amazing! Keep up the awsome work!

Is somewhere any deviation pack with this serie?
bratchny Featured By Owner Mar 13, 2003
like i said before - exquisirte, i've got like 5 of these as my wallpapers. great work once again. :D (Big Grin)
lord-zany Featured By Owner Mar 8, 2003
I think i once read that if we terraformed mars it would take like 200 years, it think that would kick ass, but hell, why explore other planets when more importants things are at stake. Like making an irrelevent war.

Ever see total recall? somewhat horrible movie.

Quality work again.
aznbmxboy Featured By Owner Feb 5, 2003
Very good; job well done, BUT... the two moons are not round; there are more 'ovalish', and represent the shape of two asteroid instead of a spherical figure. But overall, GREAT! This is going to be my new desktop image.

Wonderful only I'd like to point out a small error "Because Mars is further from the sun that earth is" should that not be than

Its just nitpicking but a spellcheck should always be done or it makes you look a bit of an ass no offence of course
jjay Featured By Owner Jan 27, 2003   Photographer
Very nice, you've added some nice touches to this image, nice use of colours and textures. The details on the sun are a nice touch. :) (Smile)
speedyfearless Featured By Owner Jan 26, 2003

Mars is by far my favorite in this series. And I'm still saying wow...I am in awe. :) (Smile)
denizengt Featured By Owner Jan 25, 2003
The image is almost taunting. The Red World just beyond my grasp, if this glass film didn't exist, I may be able to hold it in my hands. The realism is astounting and the colours are easy on the eye and well done.

Pure awesome quality!!
aethernaut Featured By Owner Jan 25, 2003
I love this whole series. I do have to point out for the sake of accuracy that Phobos and Deimos are not spherical. They shaped more like potatoes. Great piece though.
podoped Featured By Owner Jan 25, 2003
shit this is my favorite. awesomeeeeee. The planet is freaking awesome. +favvvvvv
dinyctis Featured By Owner Jan 25, 2003

very detailed, i like the surface of the planet a lot, and the information about it cool too, easy for everyone to understand. :D (Big Grin)

Love this new series man, and Mars, being the most intriguing planet of them all, is my fave! :D (Big Grin) +fav
rougeux Featured By Owner Jan 25, 2003  Hobbyist Digital Artist
Didn't you release a Mars one a while ago as the first of this series? I'll have to take a look through your gallery to be sure. Regardless, this one's very nice. Though I think it would have been better if you kept Mars's true colors. I'm not sure if you used the Mars texture and just tinted it but using the original texture of the planet (I know there's a full one online somewhere) would have been better IMHO. The way you did the sun with Phobos and Deimos though was a nice touch.
liveandletdie Featured By Owner Jan 25, 2003
Very cool idea as are the others in the series
+fav + devwatch

Wow, this reproduction of Mars is fantastic. Very very detailed.

If there is a planet that's fascinating for the science, it's definately this one, our rusty, little brother. ;) (Wink)

Excellent job!
