Love it....this series kind of reminds me of the TV-series "cosmos " by the late Carl Sagan. He did something similar in the book of the series...anyway I'd still like a "total "view of the solar sytem just to make it complete ;) (Wink)

Nice textures on the moon, shame the earth was not the main focal point though. :( (Sad)

tech side: The moon does have an atmosphere, however it is only a fraction of earths.

art side: nice composition- however based on the light distribution on the bodies the sun should be visible to some extent.

Great idea! How you thought of this one is quite amazing. Im a big fan of space stuff like this and this is something that really caught my eye.

The use of the facts and info about the moon and the earth is great. Very creative. You compiled it nicely as well, great job!

Great work, very impressive.

the data on the hours is inaccurate.. we actually live in a 23. some odd hour day.. somewhere near that... it's not actually 24 hours... weird huh? there is one planet i think it's mars.. I don't remember anymore, but i know it's not earth.. I love the Planets theme though.. they are a must have... nice work

*Chokes*

Incredible. Being an astronomy buff, this lends some talent to the planets and stars. As per usual, I'm thoroughly impressed with the colour and almost magical detail that jumps off the page. The HUD like info over the top is especially well done and is not intrusive on the overall image. Great realism

Well done!

Though I like it, I have two main concerns - one is that in this piece, the moon is actually bigger than the earth, which kind of makes it seem a little insignificant.

Also, on the design front, it's sad to see that although of course the earth is mostly water, it looks like you've failed to include any form of land at all which worries me slightly because I have a fear of drowning quite soon now...

This is really great. I like it alot. It has a nice feel to it and i would put it on my desktop anyday. It has great blending of everything, great clarity...trully beautiful. The only thing i would watch out for is that in the math equation in the lower left corner - you got it from some calculus site or something. and it works, but it says "Problem 12" up at the top. which really threw me off. It's not that big of a deal and not too many will notice it, but it is a bit distracting, and something even as small as that could potentially deter someone from the wallpaper. but I LOVE IT!

ps - moguaii, that stuff about pluto. it's horseshit. they suspect it. they haven't proved a damn thing.

this is cool! I like the way the 'facts' are spoken so informal like...
Also all the maths stuff like formula and equations makes it seem as tho there is a logical reason for earths position in the universe.

fav dev 4 sure :) (Smile)

Dude...awesome series..

Just as extra info for you wallpapers:

Earth:
Most latin based languages such as portuguese and spanish, still refer to the planet 'Earth' as "Terra", or something similar.

Pluto:
Not only do scientists assume that there are other icy planets such as pluto after it, they recently found a 10th planet in our Solar System, which very much resembles Pluto, the planet is still unnamed.

But to comment on your artwork...AWSOME WORK... really, i love the mathematical equations in the background, and what you've done to the stars, congrats. +FAV

Absolutley stunning ! Love the surface and background space work... and the overlays. Excellent! From a geeky point of view though would have labelled the sun as number 00 and therefore get earth as 03 etc. :) (Smile)

I like the concept alot but not the math stuff, it's irrelevant.. Would be more nice if you had math related to the orbit around the sun and the moon's orbit and gravity/acceleration calculus... Anyway, that's just me taking maths in school speaking. Great job!!

Absolutly stunning.... especially the surfaces and space backdrop. Although from a technical geek point of view I would have started with the sun as 00 just making The Earth 03... :) (Smile)
