Thank you! ^^

Yes, good luck!

Very clean but also lush, wonderfully geeky!

I don't think the ancient romans referred to earth as anything. Terra is translated as earth, but earth also means dirt or ground.
abd2get Featured By Owner Jun 8, 2008

lol,,,,,its cool!!
thx alot !!!

err, 5 things:
NO2 is poisonous, you mean N2.
Tritium (helium-3) is the potentially valuable energy source - thes millions of tonnes of H already on earth in all the H2O.
the sun isnt a planet.
certain bacteria (antarctic photosynthetic and many types of deep rock dwelling bacteria) could survive in environments found on mars.
the moon does (just about) have an atmosphere, its just H and He and damn thin

but then again i can only do the science, not the stunning artwork and composition.

This series is Excellent. The 2D stuff remindes me of the new star trek show, "Enterprise". Keep it up!
sbrooden Featured By Owner Aug 20, 2003
i love everything about this but at the type were all the planets are listed should it just go up to nine and not count he sun because it isnt a planet but what do i know lol
d1st0rt3d Featured By Owner May 16, 2003
Wow, :devhammed:. Great stuff. I love all the 2d stuff.
jltho Featured By Owner May 2, 2003
Great Job. I really like this. It's really original. In fact, I like the whole series.
gabriel7 Featured By Owner Apr 19, 2003

the moon: well as making it impossible to breath...

-> should be "breathe"

on top of that, the moon does in fact have an atmosphere: trace elements of neon and hydrogen... althought it's not much to speak of.

GREAT work though. the whole thing looks really amazing.

do you HAVE to make my choice of a desktop wp so tough?!?!?
for each one of your images i've laid my eyes on, i've changed background for my desk........
hehe, but i'm going to use THIS one for a while, as the earth is my very habitat, and i want to see it as a whole in these troubled times.......makes me be somewhat more comfortable with everything........

great work as usual

snowmask Featured By Owner Feb 1, 2003  Professional Traditional Artist
its gorgeous...
I love how the moon seems to be watching over Earth Aww
and how Earth is so bright and radiant Heart
but yes I agree with kalpol... the moon textures don't seem to be quite right.... they're rather plasticky.... hmm
but I for one can never make anything like this so kudos to you I am unintelligent and resort to petty name calling to get my point across

*continues to check out the rest of the series* Time to haul ass out of here!
kalpol Featured By Owner Jan 30, 2003
its nice. i dont like

A) the shadow on the text
B) the text
C) the moon texture's bump mapping isn't very realistic

otherwise, great job.
overkil Featured By Owner Jan 28, 2003
seriously too cool, congrats on all the attention this has gotten. you have obviously deserve it for this work!
rikkie Featured By Owner Jan 27, 2003
Love it....this series kind of reminds me of the TV-series "cosmos " by the late Carl Sagan. He did something similar in the book of the series...anyway I'd still like a "total "view of the solar sytem just to make it complete ;) (Wink)

angelboy Featured By Owner Jan 27, 2003
ohh Awesome ! Love the earth ;) (Wink) +fav
jjay Featured By Owner Jan 27, 2003   Photographer
Nice textures on the moon, shame the earth was not the main focal point though. :( (Sad)

cgastacks Featured By Owner Jan 26, 2003
tech side: The moon does have an atmosphere, however it is only a fraction of earths.

art side: nice composition- however based on the light distribution on the bodies the sun should be visible to some extent.
Zlatty Featured By Owner Jan 26, 2003  Professional Photographer
This is really wonderful ... :D (Big Grin) ... how long did it take you to make each one of the planets?

these series would make lovely walls for the computers in science class, but for a normal joe, all the typo ruins the amazing detail here.

Great idea! How you thought of this one is quite amazing. Im a big fan of space stuff like this and this is something that really caught my eye.

The use of the facts and info about the moon and the earth is great. Very creative. You compiled it nicely as well, great job!

Great work, very impressive.
