Reminds me of the cognative methods of learning and how different ones work for different people. Some learn best from listening, others from watching someone else do it, or trying it themselves with their own hands right off the bat, or reading about it etc. I think I'm the observer type myself. I'd much rather watch a demonstration of how to do something than to just listen or read a description of it. Seeing something get done makes it so much easier to understand before I try myself
